I Lost My Job

I'm sorry I haven't made a post in awhile, I've been rather busy and things haven't been going so great for me. I'll be more active from now on I promise.

So recently the company I was working for had to let me go for overstaffing issues, or so they told me.

So Crowbar what are you going to do now? Well I'm glad you asked, I'm going to attempt to become a full time streamer on twitch.tv. For those of you that are not familiar with Twitch, it is a website where you can broadcast gameplay videos live for everyone to watch. Now World of Warcraft is a very popular game on this website and yes my blog mainly is based around World of Warcraft and theorycrafting but that's not the only game I'll be streaming in fact I'll be streaming very little of world of warcraft, probably only 2 days out of the week because I plan to stream every day.

So Crowbar what games are you going to play then? I'll be kicking off the "relaunch" of my stream on March 24th at 9:00PM PDT/12AM EDT which coincides with the launch of Diablo III Reaper of Souls.

 I'm going to start things big by streaming for 24 hours straight, and not only that I'll be giving away not one but TWO copies of Reaper of Souls to the stream so please make sure you tune in for your chance to win. After the 24 hour stream I will start a 30 day challenge where I'm going to stream every day in hopes that I can supplement my income with donations, meaning if you would like to support me please stop by the stream and donate. My goal is to reach $1000, which was about how much I made at my previous job, any money I make beyond that will be donated to the charity ACT Today which works with children struggling with Autism.

I've set up a bot on my stream called Crowbot and what this does is every 5 minutes you spend on my stream you gain 2 Crowbucks. Crowbar, what the hell are Crowbucks? I'm glad you asked. Crowbucks are a currency used on my stream for giveaways and benefits to long time viewers, the longer you stay in the more crowbucks you gain, even when I'm Offline. There are minigames you can play with Crowbot which allow you to gamble and gain even more Crowbucks or recklessly throw them all away. So far for the few viewers I do have it's been a big hit. The way my giveaways work is like a raffle system where you buy tickets for a chance to win, but instead of using real money you use Crowbucks that you've earned just by being in my stream. So when I giveaway the two copies of Reaper of Souls you'll have a better chance to win just by being in my channel and watching.
